An election officer has died while on duty in Babarpur in North East Delhi. The incident took place inside the polling booth at the Baburpur Primary School. Police has taken the body and sent it to Guru Teg Hospital for post-mortem.

Voting continues for the election of 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Till 11 pm, 6.96% polling was held in Delhi Assembly elections. According to news agency ANI, by 10 pm, 4.33% polling was done, while by 9 pm, 3.02% polling was done. Shortly after the commencement of voting, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Delhi Deputy Governor Anil Baijal, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan reached out with their families and cast their votes. The Election Commission is monitoring CCTV cameras at more than 6000 polling booths. Webcasting will be done at these booths one hour before voting and one hour after voting. Delhi has 1.47 crore voters out of which 2,32,815 are 18 to 19 years old.
